Brighton-based singer-songwriter Bess Atwell, one of the UK’s most compelling and emotionally resonant voices, returns to Australia in March 2027 following her acclaimed debut headline tour in 2025. Bess will be armed with her upcoming new album due out in February 2027. Atwell has become known for crafting songs that are emotionally raw yet quietly assured, pairing intimate storytelling with a striking sense of melodic restraint. Her breakout 2021 album Already, Always introduced a rare gift for introspective songwriting, earning her a devoted and fastgrowing following well beyond British shores.

In 2024, Atwell released Light Sleeper via Real Kind Records, the label founded by fellow singer-songwriter Lucy Rose and with production by Aaron Dessner of The National and Taylor Swift fame. The album marked a significant artistic step forward, expanding her sonic palette with luminous textures and a deeper emotional reach while preserving the crystalline clarity of her voice.
