Kiwat Kennell Single Launch: 'The Moment' at The Corner Hotel – 13th October

Join Eastern Torres Strait Islander artist Kiwat Kennell at the iconic Corner Hotel in Richmond on October 13, 2024, to celebrate the release of his powerful new single 'The Moment.' Co-written with Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe), this track captures the intense struggles of mental health, exploring the crucial decision to stay grounded or let anxiety or depression take control. 'The Moment' offers a raw, personal reflection on resilience, identity, and the complex balance between love and hate, marking the first release from Kiwat’s newest project 'Love & Hate.'

Fresh off the back of his performances at BigSound 2024, Kiwat will take the stage with his band for an unforgettable live show. His music journey, shaped by his dual perspective as a Black man raised with a parent in law enforcement, reflects the injustices faced by Indigenous peoples while respecting cultural protocols. Having performed at major festivals and collaborated with artists like Mo'Ju and Dan Sultan, Kiwat is now breaking new ground as a solo artist after departing from his award-winning band Key Hoo.
